Distilled water is water that has been purified through a distillation process, a process of boiling water into steam and then condensing it back into a liquid, removing all the minerals, salts, organic matter, and other impurities. Essential for use with PH calibration powder. It is also safe to drink and beneficial for uses where mineral buildup is undesirable, such as in appliances like steam irons and humidifiers, and in medical settings for sterilization and cleaning. However, it lacks the essential minerals found in tap water, resulting in a flat taste and potentially missing micronutrients, so it is not a primary source of these minerals in a diet.
