Air Lock Bubbler

An airlock has many names, often called a fermentation lock, bubbler, trap or just lock, although the proper name is airlock. It is a device used during fermentation to stop air from entering the fermenter whilst allowing the carbon dioxide gas produced during fermentation to escape.

How does a bubbler airlock work?
The most common types are bubbler airlocks are called twin chanmer airlocks. Airlocks work by allowing gas to escape when the pressure builds, while not allowing any air from outside the fermentation vessel to get in. Also helps to keep dirt and bug out.
